Grandma's Peach Cobbler

The one we make every August when the peaches come in heavy. Buttery, bubbling, best warm with vanilla ice cream.

Grandma's Peach Cobbler

Method

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Toss peaches with 2 tbsp sugar and the lemon juice; set aside.

  2. 2

Whisk flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

Pour batter into a buttered 9x13 dish. Spoon peaches evenly on top — do not stir.

  4. 4

Sprinkle cinnamon over the top. Bake 45–50 minutes until golden and bubbling at the edges.

  5. 5

    Rest 10 minutes. Serve warm.
